Moldovans participate in Sibiu festival

Traditional art creators of Moldova, together with the traditional manufacturers of Teleorman, Alba and Iasi judets participate on August 1-6 in the 5th edition of the National Festival of Traditional Customs, organized in the National Museum Complex Astra in the Romanian Sibiu city. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Cults and the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Festival aims at turning to good account the whole traditional patrimony, expressed through everyday values of the rural communities, encouraging the young generation to know, acknowledge and continue to promote these customs in the whole world because they are an inalienable treasure of the national cultural patrimony. Those 450 participants cover 7 thematic sections, as religious art, which includes religious customs, traditional literature – fairy-tails, superstitions, traditional poetry and theatre, musical arts, choreographic arts, and traditional graphical art, mechanic arts and traditional technical arts and culinary art, where the participants will cook traditional food specific to the regions they came from.
