Moldovan wrestlers won 11 medals at European U23Championship

The Moldovan athletes have won 11 medals at the European U23 Wrestling Championship that took place in Bulgaria, IPN reports.

The three gold medals were won by Anastasia Nikita (59 kg class), Irina Rîngaci (68 kg) and Mariana Draguțan (53 kg). Mihaela Samoil obtained bronze in the 55 kg weight class. In the medal standings, the women’s team ranked fourth.

The male freestyle wrestlers also won four medals. Lilian Balan reached the final of the 86 kg weight class, but was beaten by Azerbaijan’s Abakarov by 0-10 in the final. Vasile Diacon, Nicolai Grahmez and Radu Lefter won by a bronze medal.

Three bronzes were also won by the Greco-Roman wrestler Artiom Deleanu, Vitalie Eryomenko and Semion Brekkeli.
