Moldovan wrestlers win 12 medals at World Shotokan Karate Championships

The Moldovan wrestlers had an incredible performance at the World Shotokan Karate Championships that took place in Ukraine. The leader of the squad Vitalie Spinu distinguished himself again, winning two golds, IPN reports.

The athlete from Balti became champion in the kumite individual (87 kg) and in the Open seniors. Gold medals were also won by Vasili Dovzii, in the youth category (78 kg)m and Dorin Axentiev, in the cadets category (62 kg).

Andrei Drobot, Danu Oprea, Sandu Gazea, Xenia Schiba and Daniel Mutelica won silvers, while Anastasia Schiba, Oleg Platniuc and Alexandru Zama medalled bronze.
