A 41-year-old woman from the Republic of Moldova is under criminal investigation in Italy after fatally hitting a 67-year-old man with her car. The traffic accident occurred in the municipality of Marino, IPN reports.
According to local media, the man was struck and then run over by the vehicle driven by the Moldovan citizen. The woman was the one who called emergency services, but upon arrival, they could only confirm the man’s death. He died on the spot.
The victim’s body was transported for an autopsy, and Italian police are investigating the case.
