Moldovan wines, sparkling wines and brandies will be retailed in Azerbaijan, after a delegation headed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița facilitated in Baku the negotiation of distribution contracts with several retail chains. The first batch of Barza Albă brandies will reach Azerbaijani shelves already at the beginning of November.

In particular, the Bălți-based Barza Albă distillery signed a distribution contract with a famous Azerbaijani supermarket chain, which currently operates over 100 retail points. A similar contract is being discussed by the Ialoveni-based Mileștii Mici winery.

Today, some Cricova wines can be found in Azerbaijani stores.

Following discussions in Baku, it has been agreed to expand the range of Moldovan wines and sparkling wines in Azerbaijani stores.

Exports of Moldovan spirits on the Azerbaijan market increased in 2021 compared to 2020, amounting to about 143 thousand liters, with a total value of $335,000.
