Moldovan teams learn opponents in European cups

Sheriff found out its opponents in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The team from Tiraspol will face the champion of Israel Hapoel Beer Sheva. The first-leg match will be played in Israel on July 12/13, while the return match – in Tiraspol on July 19/20, IPN reports.

The previous season Hapoel Beer Sheva became champion and gained 83 points, by 2 points more than Maccabi Tel Aviv. Romanian halfback Ovidiu Hoban plays now for Hapoel.

In the UEFA Europa League, Moldova will be represented by three teams. Zaria Balti will play against Videoton of Hungary, Zimbru Chisinau against Chikhura Sachkhere of Georgia, while Dacia Chisinau against Kapaz of Azerbaijan. The first-leg and return games will take place on June 30 and July 7.
