The national rugby team of Moldova continues to win new victories this spring. After beating the Czech Republic, it defeated Ukraine 38-18 away on April 7, in a match of the European Nations Cup, group 1 B.
The Moldovans dominated the encounter, scoring six drop goals through Igor Orghianu (two times), Vadim Cobilas, Veaceslav Titica, Alexandru Bulgac, and Stefan Leca.
This success enabled the team trained by Sergiu Motoc to score 10 points and to climb to the third spot in the rankings. Germany continues to hold the lead after demolishing Sweden 73-17.
The second position is taken by Poland, which is Moldova’s next opponent in the European Nations Cup. The match will take place in Chisinau on April 13. If Moldova wins, it will move up to the second spot in the rankings.
