Moldovan policemen score twice in US Ambassador’s goal

2-0 was the score by which the US embassy football team lost to a team formed of employees of the Department of Operative Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the R. Moldova. The game was held on Sunday, on the “Dinamo” stadium from the capital city. The goals were let in by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the USA himself, Michael Kirby, at that time goalkeeper of the American team. The minister of internal affairs, Gheorghe Papuc had a single touch of the ball – the one at the start of the game. The game had four quarters, 15 minutes each. The policemen’s team managed to score 2 goals and ended up winner in the event. The supporters’ gallery was made up of colleagues, friends, wives and children, who acted as true fans for the competitors on the pitch.
