Moldovan-lei loans up 3%

The volume of loans in Moldovan lei rose by 3% in June, compared to May, reaching 1.45 billion lei, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Moldovan National Bank (MNB). The most significant hikes were recorded in terms of loans granted for one month – by 20%. The credits offered for 12 months stood steady, while the ones ranging from 1 month to 3, and from 3 to 6 months were sinking. The loans for legal entities surged by 7.98%, while the ones for natural entities climbed down by 15.5%. The Central Bank points out a hike in the interest rate up to an average of 21.11% (21.04% for legal and 21.45% for natural entities), compared with 20.12% in May. The volume of credits in foreign currencies rose by 16.8% and stood at 947 million lei in June. The interest rate on foreign currency loans increased slightly to an average of 11.72%, compared to 11.39% in May.
