President Maia Sandu announced that on this important day, the people of Moldova are celebrating together with the Ukrainians. “As you fight bravely for the freedom of your land, remember that your spirit is already free and strong, reflecting the resilience of your nation. We remain steadfast in our support as you continue to defend your sovereignty and contribute to lasting peace. Together we share a common vision of a future based on peace, democracy and European values”, said the Moldovan president in a video address.
