After four victories in the 81 kg weight category, the Moldovan judoist Mihail Latîşev won the bronze medal at the 2023 Portugal Grand Prix. The same was achieved by Radu Izvoreanu in the 66 kg weight category.
Mihail Latîşev won the encounters with France’s Arnaud Aregba, the Portuguese Joao Fernando, the Dutch Frank De Wit and Israel’s Sagi Muki.
Radu Izvoreanu won the bronze medal after outperforming Kevin Loforte of Mozambique, Brazil’s Phelipe Pelim, Azerbaijan’s Yashar Najafov and Serdar Rahimov of Turkmenistan.
Adil Osmanov also reached the third place playoff, in the 73 kg weight category, but was denied a medal by South Korea’s Heon-Cheol Kang.
