Moldovan Football Federation imposes penalties

The Competitions Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation penalized a number of teams and players for the violation of the rules of organizing matches, for non-sportive behavior and for illegal acts of fans, IPN reports.

Thus, FC Dacia was fined 20,000 lei for the inappropriate organization of matches and improper behavior of the team’s fans in the match against FC Sheriff. The fans entered the field and used and threw teargas. As a result, the game was interrupted. The fans also chanted rude and offensive expressions and words addressed to the rival team and displayed a banner with offensive content.

According to the Moldovan Football Federation, the president of FC Dinamo-Auto Dumitru Margarint behaved offensively towards referees. This year, the Federation decided to suspend this during four stages of the championship and to ban him from entering the field, the team’s changing room or the official stands of the stadium. FC Dinamo-Auto was fined 5,000 lei.

Also, FC Saxan was fined 5,000 lei for the fans’ inappropriate behavior during the match against CSF Speranta.

CF Ungheni and FC Spicul were fined by 400 lei each for collecting four and more yellow cards during matches.

For non-sportive behavior and two yellow cards during a game, footballer Pavel Secrier (of CSF Speranta) was suspended for a stage, while his team was fined 400 lei. Anatoli Cheptine (of FC Dinamo-Auto) was suspended for two stages of the championship for hitting an opponent with the hand in the face, while his team was fined 1,000 lei.
