Moldovan experts left for Moscow to re-certificate Moldovan wines on Russia’s territory

A group of experts of Moldova left on Monday, 5 June, for Moscow in order to start jointly with „Rosspotrebnadzor” Service the re-certification procedure of Moldovan wines on Russia’s territory. The head of the Analysis and Promotion Department within Agro—Industrial Company „Moldova-Vin”, Iurie Mudrea, announced about this.
According to him, at the same time, another working group is created within „Moldova-Vin”, to intervene in case o necessity. Mudrea failed at specifying the volume of wine goods that are to be certified, but mentioned that it is about millions of bottles.
The head of the Inspectorate for Alcoholic Goods Supervision, Andrei Gurin, is leading the Moldovan experts group. The representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ministry of Health and Social protection, as well as experts of „Moldova-Vin” are part of the group.
At the same time, on Sunday evening, June 4, a group of winners led by general manager of the Company „Moldova-Vin”, Valeriu Mironescu, left for China, in order to participate at the international exhibition, where 17 samples of Moldovan wines will be presented, and at a economic forum as well. Their participation is included within the actions of diversifying the markets and promoting Moldovan wines abroad, related to halting Moldovan wines’ import by Russia.
Russia banned selling Moldovan wines on 27 March 2006, motivating that they have a low quality and are farmful for one’s health.
