Moldovan delegation to OSCE Permanent Council reported to international community the failure of last negotiations in extended format „5+2” regarding the solving process of Transnistrian conflict, held on 27-28 February 2006, according to MAEIE report. It was mentioned that the participants in negotiations dealt again with the inflexible and obstruction position of Transnistrian part. By continuous avoiding of the constructive approach of the initiative to set the International Evaluation Mission in order to organise free and democratic elections in Transnistrian region of Moldova, the Tiraspol regime impedes the efforts of the international community to democratise this region, the representatives of Chisinau underlined. It was as well expressed the regret regarding the fact that Tiraspol did not conform to the provisions of the format on military information exchange, as well as tergiversation of the discussions on monitoring the enterprises of the military-industrial compound of the region. It was shown the frustration regarding the continuous obstruction by the administration of the unrecognised republic of the efforts to resolve the tensioned situation of the Security Zone. Considering that the practice of tergiversating the discussions by the Transnistrian leaders cannot be accepted further, this was the appeal of Moldovan part addressed to all actors involved in influencing the Tiraspol regime in order to make more efficient the negotiation process. At last negotiations, held in Chisinau and Tiraspol on 27-28 February it was not managed to conclude a joint agreement. According to the Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova, William Hill, the main cause that did not allow concluding the protocol was the issues of the village Dorotcaia. Minister of Reintegration Vasili Sova required to parts to continue the 4-th negotiation round on 7 March.
