The Moldovan athletes won six of the 14 gold medals at the junior and senior international boxing tournament Independence Cup that took place in Briceni, IPN reports.
Senior champions are: Veaceslav Gojan (56 kg class), Dumitru Galogot (64 kg), Victor Carapchevski (75 kg) and Andrei Zatushevski (81 kg). Davron Bozorov (60 kg) and Vadim Risiuc (75 kg) won the junior titles. Golds were also won by pugilists from Israel, Romania, Germany, Ukraine, and Italy.
The women’s tournament was won by Germany’s Viktoria Sawazki (52 kg). The competition was held in only one weight class.
