Moldovan Bar Association launched a web page for legal resources

Moldovan Bar Association (BAM) launched on Wednesday, 19 April at a press conference a web page that will provide useful legal resources for professionals and for other interested persons.
According to the president of the Bar, Gheorghe Amihalachioaie, the site www.avocatul.md will give access to an electronic library with juridical publications, investigations and studies, links to legislative Moldovan sources, forums and press releases and links to other internet pages that are helpful for lawyers and all members of the juridical communities. Amihalachioaie added that the site includes information regarding BAM, inclusively the leadership and its structure, decisions of its bodies, services performed for its members, the future education programs, information and addresses upon judicial courts, prosecutor’s office, notary bureaus, jurists and governmental institutions from Moldova.
The quoted source emphasized that via the forum from the internet site the lawyers and others will have the possibility to express their opinion, suggestions, concerns regarding the activity and the of lawyers and the labour conscription of the Bar.
Asked of its utility for simple citizens, Amihalachioaie said that the site will be helpful for the citizens who have access to internet and know to use a computer, saying that BAM starts its activity from Chisinau and will extend to the districts were lawyers have modern technologies.
For the construction of the page, BAM benefited of financial and technical assistance from the American Bar Association/Central European and Eurasian Law Institute (ABA/CEELI). The financial support was given by the USA Justice Department and by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
BAM has nearly 1400 members and activates to offer qualified juridical assistance and access to justice.
