Joint working groups of Moldova and Romania will launch social protection projects based on a protocol signed by the relevant ministries of the two countries. Moldova will learn from Romania’s experience in continuous professional formation, while Romania will learn from Moldova’s experience in the field of social inclusion of persons with disabilities, IPN reports.

Moldovan Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga, in a news conference given jointly with her Romanian counterpart Maria Campeanu, said that the best cooperation between Moldova and Romania in the social sphere is between the labor inspectorates and the national employment agencies of the two countries. “We are in the process of assessing Romania’s experience in continuous professional formation because Romania has regional professional formation centers, depending on companies’ needs. This is a novelty for us,” stated Valentina Buliga.

For her part, Maria Campeanu said that Moldova and Romania have yet a lot of work to do as regards reformation because changes are permanently needed. “The reform is continuous as the economic and social situation in the country changes and we must go on. Moldova is one step ahead in the area of social inclusion of persons with disabilities. It is an area with greater extension,” she stated.

Maria Campeanu had been in Chisinau on a working visit on September 18-19.
