Moldovan citizens will benefit from direct flights from and to the UK. The Cabinet approved the Air Services Agreement with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development said that the agreement contributes to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations and to favoring the investment climate between Moldova and the UK. The development of passenger traffic will also have direct benefits on consumers as ticket prices will be lower, while the trips will be shorter.
The Air Services Agreement between Moldova and the UK was signed in London on January 22, 2024. In total, the country has signed such agreements with 21 states.
