Moldovagaz bought about 2.590 million cubic meters of gas for the Transnistrian region on the trading platform "Romanian Commodities Exchange EST". The purchases were made with the money paid in advance by Tiraspoltransgaz and the quantities are designed for Wednesday, February 12. For Tuesday, February 11, the supplier lent 3 million cubic meters of gas to the region, IPN reports.

According to Moldovagaz, the 3 million cubic meters of gas were supplied according to Monday's ordinance of the Commission for Emergency Situations. The quantities are granted as a loan for further ensuring the sustainability of the gas transmission system and the energy system of the Republic of Moldova.

Also, on February 11, Moldovagaz purchased on the Romanian Commodities Exchange 27,560 MWh (about 2.590 million cubic meters) of gas, with delivery the next day (February 12) to consumers on the left bank of the Nistru, with the financial resources paid by Tiraspoltransgaz in advance (including VAT).

During February 1 and 10, about 26.5 million cubic meters of gas were bought with the €20 million provided by the European Union and delivered to the Transnistrian region, in accordance with Tiraspoltransgaz's requests and the ordinance of the Commission for Emergency Situations.

According to the CES decision of February 10, the Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG will deliver gas to the Transnistrian region starting February 13. It will happen after Tiraspol refused the offer of €60 million from the EU to buy gas until April. Under these conditions, Chisinau accepted that a company based in Dubai would pay a Hungarian supplier to buy gas on the European market and deliver it to the border with the Republic of Moldova. From there, Moldovagaz will deliver 3 million cubic meters of gas per day to the left bank of the Nistru. The Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky announced that the Transnistrian region would pay for gas with funds from a Russian loan.
