Moldova wins two more medals at U23 World Championships in Tirana

The national wrestling team clinched two more medals at the U23 World Championships held in Tirana, Albania. Freestyle wrestlers Eugen Mihalcean and Ion Demian won bronze medals, IPN reports.

Eugen Mihălcean defeated Georgia’s Vladimir Gamkrelidze (6-5) in the small final of the up to 86 kg weight class, while Ion Demian won bronze in the up to 92 kg weight class after beating Turkey’s Fatih Altunbas (8-6).

Thus, the national wrestling team won a total of five medals at the U23 World Wrestling Championships - two golds in the Greco-Roman event, one gold in women's wrestling and two bronze medals in freestyle wrestling.
