The young Moldovan judokas won three medals at the Cadet European Judo Cup hosted by Coimbra. Oxana Diachenko and Radu Izvoreanu won silver, while Alin Bagrin medaled bronze, IPN reports.
In the final of the 66 kg weight class, Radu Izvoreanu lost to Russia’s Saikhan Shabikhanov, while in the 70 kg class Oxana Diachenko was beaten only by Anna Santos of Brazil. In the +90 kg class, Alin Bagrin was defeated in the semifinals by the future winner Akhmed Magomadov of Russia.
At the tournament held in Portugal, Moldova was also represented by Alexandru Comerzan, Cătălin Ermurachi and Vlad Palamarchuk.
