The Moldovan athletes won four medals at the European Sambo Championship held in Gijon, Spain, IPN reports.
Paulina Eșanu (52 kg weight class) and Mariana Donos (56 kg) won silver, while Timur Andres (62 kg) and Victoria Bolohan (72 kg) mounted the winner’s rostrum.
Moldova’s squad led by Iulian Peatkovski was represented by eight athletes. Sergiu Oșlobanu (82 kg) and Gennady Pretsivatyi (90 kg) were close to winning medals.
