The Moldovan canoeists medaled four times at the Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships that took place in Italy, IPN reports.
Among juniors, Arcadie Gonchearov won gold in the 1,000 m race. Daniela Cociu and Maria Olarasu
won silver in the 500 m doubles and bronze in the 200 m doubles.
In the U23 competition, Oleg Nuta and Ilie Oprea medaled bronze in the 500 m race.
Now the Moldovan canoeists are to compete in the 2018 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Bulgaria during July 26-29.
