Moldovan wrestlers have won five medals at the Israel Open G1 taekwondo tournament that took place during November 25-26, 2017, IPN reports.

Vadim Dimitrov, Ana Ciuchitu and Sergei Uscov became champions, Tatiana Timbalari won silver, while Stepan Dimitrov ranked third. The tournament in Israel involved over 300 athletes from 19 countries.

“Stepan withdrew in the semifinals owing to an injury. We will need him more in the Grand Prix in Ivory Coast, to which he will leave together with Aaron Cook this weekend. It is a competition of the G8 series with scores lower only than the World Championships,” coach Vladislav Mazur told IPN.
