Moldova trounced by Slovenia

The national football team of Moldova was demolished by Slovenia 0-4 in the UEFA Nations League, IPN reports.

The Slovenians were leading by 3-0 before the break. Sandi Lovric opened the sore in the eighth minute. In the 36th minute, Igor Armaș caused a penalty and Haris Vuckic defeated goalkeeper Stanislav Namashko. In only five minutes, the striker of Real Zaragoza scored again.

In the second half, the Slovenian team benefitted from a penalty after Sergiu Plătica fouled. The Namashko - Vuckic duel ended again in favor of the Slovenian striker, who scored a hat-trick in the 55th minute.

Moldova manager Engin Firat used the following players: Namashko, Ryabchuk, Mudrac (Crăciun 46), Armaș, Ioniță (Taras 74), Carp (Caimacov 46), Racu, Nicolaescu (Spătaru 79), Plătica (Milinceanu 59), Rață.

“October has been a terrible month for us. We are beaten easily. We will have a discussion at the Federation to see what we should do next,” stated Engin Firat.

Slovenia climbed to the first spot with 10 points and has by two points more than Greece, which tied with Kosovo 0-0. Moldova closes the rankings with one point. On November 15, Moldova hosts Greece, while on November 18, it plays Kosovo away.
