The Cabinet decided to buy protective gear for preventing the spread and treading Ebola hemorrhagic fever, IPN reports.
For the purpose, the National Health Insurance Company will allocate 4.1 million lei from its prophylaxis fund, while the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency will organize the procurement from one source.
Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi said that about 9,000 cases of infection with Ebola have been detected worldwide so far. 50% of them resulted in death. By purchasing special equipment and devices, Moldova follows the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
