Moldova to participate at PACE’s summer session

MP Liliana Palihovici will lead Moldova’s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly to the Council of Europe (PACE). The session will take place between June 25 and 29, 2012, in Strasbourg, one of the main topics of the reunion being “Democracy at risk: the role of citizens and of the State today”, reports Info-Prim Neo. Stella Jantuan, Corina Fusu, Valeriu Ghiletchi, and Grigore Petrenco, are the MPs representing Moldova’s Parliamentary Delegation. According to the press service of the legislative, the reunion will deal with the consequences of the financial-economic crisis, the impact of the economic crisis on local and regional authorities in the European States, economic austerity as a threat to democracy and social rights, and other topics important to the member-states of the European Council. The keynote speakers of this session are Albanian Prime-minister Sali Berisha, and Croatian PM Zoran Milanović.
