Moldova for the first time plays double world champion France, in Group H of the 2020 UEFA European Championship qualifying competition, IPN reports.
The national football team of Moldova that is trained by Alexandru Spiridon for the first time will also meet Iceland, which drew with Argentina at the FIFA Would Cup in Russia. Turkey is another rival of Moldova in Group H. Alexandru Spiridon will duel with his ex-boss at Shakhtar and Zenit Mircea Lucescu, who now trains the national team of Turkey. Moldova played Turkey for eight times , losing six games and drawing two times.
Group H also includes Albania and Andorra. The qualifying competition of the UEFA Euro 2020 starts next March and ends next November. “It is a very interesting group. I hope we will play each game to the maximum,” said Moldova manager Alexandru Spiridon.
The first two ranked teams of each group and four teams of the UEFA Nations League quality for the final.
