Moldova strikers join new teams

Two strikers of the national football team of Moldova signed contracts with other teams. The third top scorer of the championship of Belarus Ion Nicolaesc, 22, will now compete in the championship of Slovakia, alongside the current leader DAC Dunajska Streda, IPN reports.

Nicolaescu the current season played for Vitebsk, being borrowed from Shakhtyor Soligorsk. During 18 stages, he scored nine goals, four of which from a penalty. Earlier this month, Ion Nicolaescu also scored for Moldova in the UEFA Nations League encounter against Kosovo that ended in a draw.

The pupil of Zimbru Vitalie Damașcan will continue to play in the championship of the Netherlands. AC Torino lent him for a year to RKC Waalwijk.

The previous season, the 21-year-old footballer played for Fortuna Sittard, which now includes goalkeeper Alexei Koshelev. Damașcan scored six goals in 19 matches for Fortuna. The Moldova player belongs to AC Torino, which signed him from Sheriff for €1.5 million at the start of 2018.
