The national football team of Moldova slipped four positions in the FIFA rankings to the 170th. Moldova is close to the worst position in the history of the Moldovan football – 173rd, IPN reports.
Moldova is outstripped by such exotic teams as Hong Kong, Fiji, Puerto Rico and the Maldives Islands. On March 27, Moldova plays a friendly match against Ivory Coast.
Among Moldova’s opponents in the UEFA Nations League, Luxemburg is ranked best - 83rd. Belarus is placed 93rd, while San Marino – 204th. The FIFA rankings are topped by world champion Germany. It is followed by Brazil and Portugal. The next rankings will be released on April 12.
