The national football team of Moldova fell one spot in the FIFA rankings to the 171st, IPN reports.
Moldova last month had a wrong-foot start in the qualifying rounds of the 2020 UEFA European Championships. The team trained by Alexandru Spiridon lost to France 1-4 in Chisinau and was demolished by Turkey 0-4 in Eskisehir.
Moldova in the rankings is outstripped by all its EURO 2020 Group H opponents. France ranks second after Belgium. Turkey takes the 39th positon and is followed by Iceland on the 40th spot. Albania comes 62nd, while Andorra is 134th.
