The rugby 7 national squad of Moldova ranked seventh in the second stage of the European Championship, Trophy Division, which was held in Budapest, IPN reports.
Moldova scored three victories, against Switzerland, Luxemburg, and Israel. In the last match, it trounced Israel 26-14. All the essays of the team trained by George Sava were scored in the first half of the game by Ion Kopytov, Igor Mișin, Adrian Adam, and Cristian Cebotari.
Even if it finished second in Budapest, Ukraine won with a total of 38 points, being followed by Croatia and Sweden with 32 points each.
