The 42nd edition of the CIS Economic Council in Chisinau tackled 15 projects dealing with economic development. Among the most important ones, as mentioned by Moldovan deputy premier Igor Dodon, the accord on provenience rules is, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The accord is to be endorsed at a reunion of heads of governments, planned for November in Yalta, Crimea. Another issue was the international transport corridors crossing the CIS countries. It's possible that Moldova takes over the presidency over one corridor crossing the largest number of countries, Dodon told a news conference on Friday, June 19.
The minister for economy says Moldova has the possibility to arrange a pavilion to exhibit Moldovan goods. The coming months a Moldovan delegation is to leave for Moscow to consider this opportunity in details.
In the opinion of Sergei Lebedev, the chairman of the executive committee of the CIS, other documents broached in Chisinau are also important, as the draft accord on the currency market, the accord on the cooperation and interaction of the CIS countries in the energy sector, etc.
Igor Shuvalov, an advisor to Russia's prime-minister, says the discussions at the reunion confirm that the integration processes within the CIS have stepped up lately and this is crucial to overcome the crisis.
The CIS Economic Council in Chisinau was joined Friday by officials from 10 states.
