The national football team of Moldova holds the 166th spot in the FIFA rankings for this month released on February 16, as earlier, IPN reports.
At the start of this year, the team trained by Alexandru Spiridon played two friendly matches, against South Korea (0-1) and Azerbaijan (0-0), both while training in Antalya. On February 26, Moldova plays a new friendly abroad, against Saudi Arabia.
Among Moldova’s opponents in the UEFA Nations League, Luxemburg has the best position – 83rd. Belarus ranks 93rd, while San Marino 204th. The FIFA rankings are topped by world champion Germany, which is followed by Brazil and Portugal. The next rankings will be made public on March 15.
