Moldova’s national football team slipped one more position in the world rankings released by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on May 9, IPN reports.
Moldova ranks 139th with 214 points. Last month, Moldova’s national squad played no match. They will have an encounter with Poland at home on June 7, of the 2014 World Championship qualifiers.
Moldova had the worst position in July 1994 – 149th place.
Among Moldova’s opponents in the qualification campaign, England has the best position - seventh. Montenegro, Ukraine and Poland remained on the 27th, 37th and, respectively, 63rd spot, while San Marino comes last – 207th.
Grenada made a jump of 20 positions in April, to the 121st spot. The islands St.Vincent and Grenadines slipped ten spots. Spain remains at the top, followed by Germany and Argentine.
