“President Vladimir Voronin, premier Vasile Tarlev and the Dubasari local councilor, Alexandru Miţcul, monthly lift by 7,600 lei for being honorific citizens of the Dubasari district. On the same reason, other two officials: the Reintegration minister, Vasile Şova, and the president of the district, Grigore Polcinschi, receive by 3,800 lei monthly.” These statements were made on Tuesday, March 4, by the leader of the Moldova Noastra Alliance, Serafim Urecheanu, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The Dubasari tax-payers pay by 5,000 lei as bonuses and by 30,400 lei monthly for the happiness to have such fellow citizens among them,” the AMN president has said.
According to Urecheanu, his party has entered into possession of more documents proving the corruption rooted in the top leadership of the country. The MP asserts “the only merits of Voronin’s clan” in front of the Dubasari inhabitants are the hunting sessions in those territories, depriving of land and joining copious feasts.
Serafim Urecheanu is angered with the discrepancy of the local budgets of different territorial-administrative units. According to him, Basarabeasca district, and especially the village of Bascalia, the prime-minister’s native village, have benefited, during the Tarlev cabinet’s stay, of tens of millions of lei, while other localities are deprived of money because of having elected mayors from democratically-oriented parties.
Urecheanu claims there have been at least ten governmental decisions concerning the Bascalia village since 2001. On December 24, 2007, the cabinet approved of a plan to better the situation of localities which allocates Basarabeasca district 26 mln lei – one million for one thousand people. At the same time, for the district of Ungheni, Orhei, Hancesti, Edinet, with over 100,000 -150,000 population, the plan provided average investments of 850,000 lei – by 850 lei per capita. Moreover, no capital investments were envisaged for the capital city. In addition, Bascalia benefited of 2 mln euros for food safety, Serafim Urecheanu says.
The AMN leader says the ruling politicians have carried out their menaces that the localities not having elected Communist mayors will suffer. In this regard, the parliamentarian evoked the situations of the Chisinau and Balti municipalities. Urecheanu announces he’ll notify the general prosecutor’s office on the corruption of the top leadership.
