The national football team of Georgia is the opponent that Moldova’s squad has met for most of the times in its history. Eleven encounters have taken place so far. Moldova scored four victories, as Georgia did. The other three matches ended in a draw, IPN reports.
A new fixture between Moldova and Georgia was scheduled for June 11. The match is played at the Zimbru Stadium starting at 7pm. Both of the teams experience lineup-related problems. Moldova’s Gatcan has been suspended, while Ionita and Armas suffered injuries. Georgia’s Loria, Ananidze and Mcedlidze have health problems.
After five matches played, Moldova takes the last spot in the rankings of Group D, which also includes Austria, Wales, Serbia and Ireland. Georgia ranks last but one.
