The national football team of Moldova suffered a new defeat in the Euro 2016 qualifying rounds. The ‘tricolors’ were beaten again by Montenegro by the same score of 0-2, IPN reports.

The goals were scored by Savic (9th minute) and Racu (65th, self-goal). Moldova could have scored through Milinceanu and Patras. The last one hit the transversal bar of the goal. “We failed many things today. We made childish mistakes when we were to score two goals. We are not ready to dominate and attack in waves,” Moldova coach Alexandru Curteian told a news conference.

“Moldova showed that it is a good team. I think Moldova does not deserve to be the last in the rankings,” said the coach of Montenegro Branko Brnovic.

Moldova has only two points after eight games played. The ‘tricolors’ play the next match against Russia in Chisinau on October 9. In the evening of September 8, Russia demolished Liechtenstein 7-0, while group leader Austria defeated Sweden away 4-1.
