Moldova won the first match of the Team World Championship “Davis Cup by BNP Paribas” against Hungary by 1-0. Moldova’s Radu Albot beat Gabor Borsos of Hungary in three sets, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5, IPN reports.
The games of the first round of the Europe/Africa Zone Group 2 within the “Davis Cup by BNP Paribas” are played in the Hungarian city Győr, at the sports arena Győr Városi Egyetemi Csarnok, between March 6 and 8.
The doubles competition takes place on March 7. Moldova’s Radu Albot and Andrei Ciumac face Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics and Levente Godry. Two games in simples are to be played on March 8. Radu Albot meets Marton Fucsovics, while Andrei Ciumac - Gabor Borsos.
