Moldova’s national minifootball team failed to reach the quarter-finals of the European Championship in Hungary. The Tricolors were thrashed 0-4 by Croatia in the 1/8 finals, IPN reports.
The score was opened by Ezgeta on 14 minutes, followed by Herzcigonja (19), Piskac (23) and Ceboci (39). Moldova made it to the play-offs after finishing 2nd in group F, were they had beaten Luxembourg 11-0, Israel 2-0, but succumbed to 0-1 defeat against Germany.
The previous 6 editions of the European Championship had all been won by Romania. Surprisingly, Romania was eliminated today by England after a 2-3 defeat.
