Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița said the Republic of Moldova has stood by Ukraine and its citizens since the very first day of the war. Currently, even if the number of refugees has decreased, over 90,000 Ukrainians continue staying in the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

“We offer humanitarian aid, enforce all the financial-banking sanctions on our territory. As regards military assistance, there are countries that are much better equipped and have internal economic, energy resilience and can provide such assistance,” stated Premier Gavrilița.

The official made the statements when she was asked by the press if it’s true that Ukraine asked Moldova to offer it the six MIG aircraft managed by the Public Property Agency and the Moldovan authorities refused to grant such a request.
