A number of 256 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova today, June 30. Of those confirmed with the infection today, 18 are healthcare workers. All the infections are local transmission cases, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
As many as 1,751 tests were done today, with 1,237 of these being primary ones.
Seven persons lost the battle with COVID-19 today. The death toll thus reached 545.
Another 153 infected persons got cured and were discharged from the hospital. The number of persons who recovered now stands at 9,382.
Thirty of the 483 patients who are in a serious state were put on a ventilator.
Moldova has got 16,613 infections with the novel coronavirus so far. Of these, 6,686 are active cases.
