SA Moldova-Gaz has ceased its natural gas deliveries to all thermal stations belonging to Termocom because of debts. Buiucani and Center sectors, and all Chisinau's suburbs are left without heat and hot water, Termocom announces in a press release. The debt for the running gas consumption, worth 35.6 million lei, is because the City Hall has not respected its obligations to raise the thermal energy tariff. The release also says that “there is a risk to cease the gas deliveries to power plants CET 1 and CET 2, making a current debt for natural gas of over 127 million lei,” and if this thing comes true, “all the consumers of the central thermal system will remain without heat and hot water”. The Termocom administration “asks mayor Dorin Chirtoaca to immediately pay off the debt to the company and to urgently convene the extraordinary sitting of the Chisinau Council to study the crisis situation and to adopt efficient solutions to overcome it”. The Council’s debts to the supplier reach 176 million lei. A Gcal costs 540 lei. SA Termocom administrator Dionisie Antocel stated, on Tuesday, November 4, that he would ask the CMC to endorse a tariff of 822 lei per 1 Gcal. He also said that the supplier’s debt that would grow up till the end of the year, could bring to halt the heat in December. When asked by Info-Prim Neo, the City Hall’s press service said that it would state its opinion soon.
