The political crisis of the start of this year had also positive effects on the ruling parties. Communication became more coherent and led to better political mobilization, said Romanian Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca. According to him, Moldova emerged stronger from the crisis, IPN reports.

“2013 was prominently marked by the Vilnius Summit, where Moldova initialed the Association Agreement with the EU. But there is also another defining event – the political crisis. I do not have a completely negative view on this crisis. There is a kind of balance on the chronological axis of 2013. The political crisis was worrisome and many wondered whether Moldova will overcome it. Moldova not only overcame it, but also emerged stronger from it. If the solutions to the crisis hadn’t been positive, the Vilnius success would have been smaller,” the diplomat said in the program “Politica” on TV7 channel.

As to the dangers threatening Moldova until the signing of the Association Agreement and the obtaining of the liberalized visa regime projected for next year, the Romanian diplomat considers that the Government of Moldova has a mature attitude and knows how things should develop. “The authorities concentrate on the opportunities. I have the feeling that they are more concerned about the list of positive objectives,” stated Marius Lazurca.

He is confident that there is enough maturity and political will for the current Government to obtain a liberalized visa regime and to sign the Association Agreement with the EU. Marius Lazurca believes that the signing of the accord will put Moldova in a better situation than now as it is a European country that has no other destiny than the European one.
