Moldova drops one spot in FIFA rankings

Moldova dropped one slot to the 88th position (390 pts) in the monthly adjusted FIFA rankings for August, published Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldova΄s rivals in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers are ranked as follows: Greece – 12th, Switzerland – 15th, Israel – 22nd, Latvia – 58th, and Luxembourg – 116th. The most spectacular rise in the rankings was Kyrgyzstan’s 17-slot leap to 143th, while the biggest decline was registered by the Democratic Republic of Congo, 22 slots to 118th. Brazil remains number one, followed by Spain and Holland.
