Moldova played the last match of the qualifying competition of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The team trained by Ștefan Stoica drew 1-1 with Switzerland in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The guests opened the score in the fifth minute through Kastriot Imeri, who scored from a penalty kick. Vladislav Blănuță tied in the 75th minute.
Coach Ștefan Stoica used the following players: Agachi, Ștefan, Iovu, Cotogoi, Cojocari, Gliga (Cleșcenco 90), Motoc (Ieșeanu 46), Borș, Blănuță (Namolovan 77), Danu (Pușcaș 77), Gaiu.
“We managed to score a point in the match against a top team and we are satisfied,” said coach Ștefan Stoica
Moldova takes the third spot in the rankings with 12 points.
