The national women’s basketball team of Moldova suffered a humiliating defeat in the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B. Moldova was trounced by Slovakia 21-157, IPN reports.
Moldova lost all the four periods by 6-44, 3-33, 6-37, 6-43. Victoria Vacaru scored the largest number of points – six. Among the scorers were also Prisacari (4 points), Timbalari (4), Cecoi (3), Donita (2) and Rusu (2).
On August 5, Moldova meets the UK. Moldova’s group also includes the host country Ireland and Ukraine and Macedonia.
