Moldovan biathletes Victor Șendrea and Antonia Cebotari made their debut at the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games, IPN reports.
Victor Șendrea finished 60th in the 12.5 km individual men’s race out of 99 competitors with the result of 41:03.6. Russia’s Oleg Domichek won the race with 34:09.4.
In the 10 km individual women’s race, Antonia Cebotari ranked 93rd with the result of 54:33.6. Alena Mokhova of Russia emerged victorious with 32:26.7.
At the competition in Lausanne, Moldova will also be represented in bobsleigh, by Aliona Busuioc, Adriana Adam and Marius Goncear.
