Moldova's national football team climbed thirteen places in the updated FIFA rankings, to the 87th slot, with a total of 373 points, Info-Prim Neo reports. The main contribution to this leap was Moldova's 1-0 victory in a friendly against Kazakhstan earlier this year. Among Moldova's 2012 EURO group rivals, the best placed are Holland (3rd), followed by Sweden (40th), Hungary (52nd), and Finland (54th). Minions San Marino place 202nd. Spain lead the FIFA rankings, followed by Brazil. Moldova's national team, coached by Gabi Balint, will play two friendlies at the end of May as part of a training camp in Austria, one with Azerbaijan and the other probably with a team qualified for the World Cup.
