Moldova defeated San Marino 1-0 in the qualifying competition of the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The only goal was scored by Vadim Gulchak in the 28th minute, IPN reports.
“We aimed to score more goals, but it is hard to play against a team that is defended by all the players,” Moldova U-21 second coach Anatol Tâmbur told a news conference .
Moldova has seven points after nine matches played. On October 15, it meets the Czech Republic away.
